Refreshment Systems (vending company) Feeding the Homeless
Peterborough Soup Kitchen is a charity designed to provide the homeless and disadvantaged warm food and drinks throughout the year. It has been feeding the homeless and disadvantaged since 1983 (Registered Charity: 287602).
The charity serves between 35 and 76 clients everyday who would otherwise go cold and hungry. This is made possible, in part, by the food and drinks Refreshment Systems donate to help out!
Last month we donated several kilograms of coffee, along with tea bags, hot chocolate and snacks to help out the growing homeless problem we face here in the UK. There’s nothing better to get you through a rough night, than a warm cup of coffee to warm you up and because of the donations we make, last month the Peterborough Soup Kitchen served a total of 1140 people, serving more than:
- 570 Cups of Tea
- 2,280 Cups of Coffee
- 3,420 Sandwiches
- 2,280 Cups of Soup
The soup kitchen prepares soup, tea, coffee, hot and cold drinks and sandwiches in their kitchen. The food and drink is then distributed by a van which parks in a car park in the centre of Peterborough.
